About the artist
Allanson Hick trained as a draughtsman and was a maritime war artist. hull council produced a pamphlet about his work. There are 2 paintings by Hick in the National Railway Museum ,one of which is a picture of Lincoln which was made into a poster for the railways. There is also one of his paintings in the national Museum of Wales industrial Museum.
