About the artist
Landscape painter in oil and watercolour. He was educated at Glasgow University. He exhibited at the RA 1883-98, GG, RSA and elsewhere.He received an Honourary Mention
at the Paris Salon and also at the Paris International Exhibition of 1889. He painted almost entirely Scottish subjects. The almost turqouise colour of the water and it’s effects are particularly striking.
Condition
The painting is in excellent condition . The frame is a modern gilt quality English frame.
