About the artist
Marjorie Cox attended Heatherley’s Art School in London. She travelled around areas of the country with her pastel colours and sketchpad doing commissioned dog portraits.
She painted seven of the Queen’s dogs and had other famous patrons including Lady Southwell and Lady Tavistock. This painting has been signed and dated and inscribed with the name of the beloved pet.
Condition
Excellent. This painting has been reframed in a gilt frame with Art Glass which is a very high standard non-reflective glass which virtually eliminates reflections and shows the true colours of the artwork.
