Robert Chaillot studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. He exhibited for the first time in 1940 at the Salon of French Artists and the Salon des Beaux Arts in 1943.
His awards include Prix du comity – Salon driver, Prix Vuillaume – Bois Colombes, Prix de la Ville- Saint Raphael, Medalle d’ Argent, Meraille d’or and Prix du Public at the Salons des Bouges. Also the Salon des Artistes Francais among others.
In 1975 he exhibited in Russia at the Hermitage in Leningrad and the Pouchkine in Moscow. He is considered one of the finest painters of Still Life in recent times. He is listed in Who’s Who in Art.His work was acquired by the City of Paris and the Museum of the Ile- de France.
